Current SAFA Tshwane SAB stream A log leaders Titans FC is currently on ongoing trials to strengthen the team for the remainder of the season.

Titans FC is a football club based in Ga-Rankuwa north of Pretoria and was established in 2015. The team managed to win their stream in the 2019/20 season only to be knocked in the promotional play offs for position one in Tshwane.

Kagiso Monase, club team manager revealed in an interview with Tshwane Bulletin on what the club is looking for in the trials.

“The main aim of the trials was to strengthen two areas of our game, which is the defence (goalkeeping in particular ) as well as attack”.

Monase further revealed how strengthening the defence is considered a priority.

“The majority of our players are midfielders, however we find ourselves a bit lacking on those two departments”.

Due to the club’s busy schedule this season, a new model of trials was introduced and Monase explained on how it’s done.

“Due to our busy schedule as a football club from running the SAB team as well as our vast development structure it has been difficult to host your traditional trials. We are running a new model of trials inviting trialist to train with our current squad,” he added.

He further revealed on the challenges the club face regarding registration of few under 21 players.

“So far it has been going well but with one major challenge few under age players (under 21) that we identified and want to sign do not have ID documents which present a huge problem because MYSAFA does not allow us to register a player using birth certificate at our level”.

Monase is pleased on how the trials have been going so far and players identified by the club.

“We are happy with the players that have raised their hands indicating an interest to join our club and how they have carried themselves”.
