Winterveldt based athlete Tebogo Mofokeng is in full preparations ahead of the upcoming SASAPD national championships. Mofokeng looks forward to the championships as he will be competing against the best athletes across the country.
Despite his disability Mofokeng has worked hard over the years and earned his stripe as one of Winterveldt’s top athlete. In an interview with Tshwane Bulletin Newspaper Mofokeng opened up about the love and passion he has for sports.
“I am motivated and confidence in sports because the ability I have and love. “Every minute I wear my legs and get on the track I know I can change someone’s hopes”.
He further revealed that the SASAPD national championship provides good exposure for disabled athletes to showcase their talent and qualify for big events. The SASAPD national champ gives athletes an opportunity to qualify for the Paralympics and world Paralympics championships.
Revealing on preparations for the event Mofokeng said, “I am ready to get on stage as I was training hard and focused”. He further added that is an honour being part of the national champs and hopes to deliver the goods.
Mofokeng encourages young boys and girls to never give up on their athletics dreams no matter the challenges.
