He is young, skillful, vibrant and energetic, 19 year old Tebatso Manyane took the Shaka’s Easter tournament by storm. The young midfielder walked away with the tournament’s best player award.
His match winning performance throughout the tournament was key in Chilli Boys FC winning spree. Manyane provided 2 assist in a narrow 3-2 win against Soshanguve South FC. He was also on the scoring sheets in the final game which his side won 6-1 to clinch the Shaka’s Easter tournament 2022 edition.
In an interview with Tshwane Bulletin newspaper, Manyane revealed that a lot was on his mind before the start of the tournament and that expectations were high.
“A lot was on my mind because I knew that we will be playing against the best players in Sosha and all of the teams wanted to win the tournament.”
Currently in his fourth year at the club, Manyane marked the tournament success as one of his biggest achievement in his spell at the club. Manyane lauded his team mates for the hard work out put into the tournament and believes the team shall grow stronger from the success.
He further revealed that he has been training hard individually so to improve on his game and become the best possible version of himself.
Manyane felt honoured to be recognised as the tournament’s best player.
“It feels fantastic to be spotted as the best player of the tournament, it shows that I have worked hard they saw my efforts and I am willing to improve more to make my dream come true”.
The 19 year old further revealed that he had always wanted to make his mother proud and was happy that he managed to put a smile on her face.
Dynamites do indeed come in small packages and Tebatso Manyane is certainly one for the future.
