Soshanguve soccer team seeks sponsorship to participate in tournaments

Lethabo Moremi Co-founder of Soshanguve-based soccer team Scamlom United FC is calling on companies to sponsor the team as it is facing financial hitches.

The team gained massive popularity since its establishment in 2018 and experienced positive qualities of attention within the community.

According to Moremi, gaining a sponsorship can be key to a successful club both financially and competitively. Often team’s budgets fall short of covering any extra items, like equipment and traveling to long-distance tournaments.

As many local tournaments are shaped during the off-season, the team fails to participate due to financial struggles. The team has grown in leaps and bounces over the years but lacks financial support.

“The team is made up of under 21 players who majority reside in around the areas of Soshanguve.

Moremi further revealed that most of the players on the team are at the peak of their football careers.

He also opened up on the challenges of not having enough financial support to compete against professional teams and playing reputed tournaments.

“ It has been tough because we are still at school. We generate funds through each player’s contribution.

With tournaments taking place currently, Scamlom United FC is unable to feature in most of them due to financial difficulties.

“ Come and see how good we are, the potential we have is galore. We just need support from you.

“ The plan is to participate in tournaments it is unfortunate we can’t be partly because we don’t have funds “, said Moremi.

Moremi calls out anyone willing to help the team to call:  0764084489
