Led by Sello Kgosana , Soshanguve ext 2 based side World 11 Football club is set to host the Teka Famba top 8 knockout tournaments on the 27th and 28th of August 2022. The tournament will serve as a great platform for young local players to showcase their talent.
It’s the second edition of the tournament and the winners of the previous edition Kool FC are the team to beat. During the launch of the tournament, coach Sello Kgosana emphasised on the importance of investing in local football.
” We need to invest more into our local talent, what I have noticed my brother is that many of our players don’t get recognition and we aim to offer players exposure through this tournament “.
He further revealed that scouts from TUKS football team will be present throughout the tournament and hopes one or two players get selected. Kgosana assured fans and teams that everything is on track leading up to the tournament. In terms of sponsors, Kgosana revealed that Vicks Cafe , Mafoko Funeral parlour and Royal funeral services have promised to lay a hand in making the tournament a success.
Kgosana calls on the community of Soshanguve to come out in numbers and experience an entertaining weekend of football. The tournament takes place at Ext8 ground next to Ayanda Primary school.
