Nedbank recently unveiled a brand-new multi- purpose sports court at Soshanguve South Secondary School with 2022 #NedbankCup champions, Mamelodi Sundowns.
With this facility, learners and the community will have better access to sports development and training.
Bafana Ba Style club Chairman Tlhopie Motsepe, the club’s management team, and Academy player Ofentse Mashiane were present at the event to witness their chosen school being awarded the sports court in a bid to support sports development in the community. The Chairman and Mashiane additionally brightened the day for the school and students as they handed over a signed shirt to the school.
Mamelodi Sundowns Chairman, Tlhopie Motsepe, shared the clubs vision and determination in sports development around communities and in the surrounding schools.” Everyone at Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club feels a deep sense of gratitude to have the privilege of nominating Soshanguve Secondary as the recipient of the multi-purpose sports court. The Nedbank Cup is a magical knockout tournament that gives teams from all divisions the opportunity to write their own history and claim glory”.
Present at the event to witness the handover were Khensani Nobanda, who is the Nedbank Groups Marketing and Communications Executive; Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Nathi Mthethwa, School Principal Mr David Mahlangu and from the Premier Soccer League, Miss Nonhlanhla Nkosi.
