In memory of the late Doctor Allan Soundy, the community of Ga-Rankuwa is set to host Dr. Allan Soundy Memorial Run on the 29th of this month at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University (SMU) sports ground. Doctor Allan Soundy was a community doctor and passionate about running.
The Memorial Run will allow the community of Ga-Rankuwa to pay tributed after not being able to attend his funeral last year due to covid 19 restrictions. Ga-Rankuwa-based trail professional runner Thabang Madiba emphasised the importance of celebrating the late Dr. Allan Soundy for his contribution to the community. Madiba revealed that Dr. Allan Soundy played a massive role in his running career.
” I was supported till where I am, I remember my first new pair of running shoes were bought by Dr. Allan Soundy “. Over 400 participants are expected on the 29th and Madiba revealed that the organisation plans to host the event annually. Community members are encouraged to come to celebrate Dr. Allan Soundy
