During the second season of the Twizza Netball Club Championships at the Ngoako Ramahlodi Indoor Sports Centre, new winners emerged from the men’s and women’s competitions.
A tough day of semifinal and final matches on Sunday saw the undefeated women’s club De Tyger and the men’s club, the Ocean Predators take home the honours.

A 36-24 victory by De Tyger over Limpopo’s Rising Stars in the women’s final was followed by a 32-20 win by Ocean Predators against Limpopo’s Rising Stars in the men’s game.

Having won silver in 2021, the Ocean Predators returned to the finals for a second time. Host province Limpopo’s Rising Stars played in both the men’s and women’s final.
Following the women’s final, Maryke Theron said: “Netball won today.” Thank you for giving us the opportunity to represent the Western Cape at the Twizza Netball Club Championships. Twizza and Netball SA thank you for giving us this exposure and allowing us to uplift others through our sport.”
“We are incredibly happy that we were able to win,” said Ocean Predators head coach Scelo Gamede. We were here last year but came in second, so this time we came in full force. Thank you very much to Twizza for this opportunity.”
