In an exclusive interview with Capital Sport, Sosh Ext Gunners FC Chairman Abah Molemane opened up on the challenges faced by the Soshanguve Local Football Association. Association finances have been under scrutiny over the past few months due to criticism from club owners.
According to Abah Molemane, money is being misused in the association and investigations need to be conducted.
Molemane claims that teams have not received valid financial statements for over two years now. ” We don’t know what’s happening with the money. We pay the affiliation fee, referees almost everything, but there is no track of the money we pay”. It’s been over three seasons without teams receiving financial statements from the association.
The matter has led to the delay of the SOLFA 2022/23 season. Molemane criticised the association for not taking accountability seriously. He further revealed that the association is sinking and has not achieved anything over the years. ” For 20 years what has the league achieved ? There are no directions whatsoever”. Molemane challenges team owners and players to stand against habits that threaten the development of football in Soshanguve.
