The 2022/23 Pink Love netball season was back in action this past weekend to kick-start 2023. The games took place at Soshanguve Hilltop courts with a total of seven games played. It was the under-13 division that opened proceedings when the Bokamoso ladies went up against
Sosha VV ladies. Both team headed into the game level on two points on the log table. Bokamoso ladies proved too strong for Sosha VV ladies who looked out of sorts throughout the game. Bokamoso ladies dominated all quarters of the game winning 16-0. The win saw them remain third on the log with 4 points. In the second under 13 division encounter, Naughty Girls moved closer to log leaders Dynamites ladies defeating bottom-placed Little stars ladies 14-0. The win solidified their spot in second place on the log. Little Stars ladies redeemed themselves from their humiliating loss to Naughty Girls in the under
13 matches earlier, they defeated them 19-15 in a highly contested match. The win moved the stars two points ahead of Naughty Girls on the log. Naughty Girls showed a championship mentality in the second game of the under-17 division in a top-of-the-table clash against Lovely Girls.
Naughty girls defeated Lovely girls 23-14. Lovely girls’ terrible start to the year continued in their second game against Little stars who came into the game full of confidence following their earlier shock win against Naughty girls. The Little stars ladies comfortably won 29 – 11 finishing the day with 2 out of 2.
In the only senior division match log leaders Naughty girls took on Charismatic ladies. It was a tight contest between the two experienced sides with limited chances throughout the game. In the end, the Naughty girls proved why they currently sit top of the table winning 18-15. The next round of fixtures continues this weekend at Soshanguve Hilltop courts
