There will be eight teams in the Easter Classic Cup and It will be the first time that ladies’ football will be developed locally. Collaboration with local teams has been established in Hammanskraal. This tournament will be a team-up between coaches who have ladies’ teams.

In a township tournament, the majority of participants are male, so developing ladies’ players is one of the goals.

During the process of preparing other divisions, we will allow later the divisions from under 13 15 16 17 while we reconstruct other divisions.

“There is no doubt that football is growing and it is growing faster due to this type of plan for ladies’ football, which has the potential of promoting amateur players to professionals,” Said Bash Mabusela 

“In addition to reviewing the tournament, if we get more teams involved, we will also develop a marketing strategy for the event.”

Hamitown Royal Ladies enjoy a field day at Chloorkop

As the club looks to promote young players to top professional teams, Sundowns ladies’ development scouts will be able to identify these players easily. During the visit to Chloorkop, players and coach Mabusela both gained knowledge.

Mabusela rubbed shoulders with one of the best technical teams in Africa as a young coach. As a coach, I have learned a lot motivated by Jerry Shabalala to respect the team, management, and players. Most importantly, to always know my responsibilities. One of the highlights of the day was meeting and taking pictures with some of Sundown’s first-team players.
