Sporting activities were held at Ga-Rankuwa stadium recently to raise funds and awareness for baby Kutlwano, who suffers from Biliary Atresia and liver Cirrhosis. A walk of 5km from Baby Kutlwano’s house in Ext 25 to the Ga-Rankuwa stadium took place near the City Centre
Residents of Ga Rankuwa came out in numbers in support of Baby Kutlwano . Before the walk residents passed by Baby Kutlwano’s home with drummies drumming outside the home.

One of the event organisers Mmemeng Mokgadi from Nanuza NPC marks the event as an emotional and special one for the community of Ga-Rankuwa. “ It was emotionally touching to see people coming in such numbers just to come and support Baby Kutlwano it was amazing”. Mokgadi ‘s biggest highlight was walking together with the drummies to Baby Kutlwano’s home.
Before the Aerobics, 65-year-old Ntate Rap dedicated 65 push-ups to Baby Kutlwano to Kickstart the activity. The Aerobics activities had three instructors from Shad-ou Fitness centre and Sensei from Ga-Rankuwa YMCA Aerobics.
Despite not raising much as anticipated Mokgadi revealed that the event’s impact on raising awareness proved positive and raised many eyebrows.
“We didn’t raise as much as we anticipated however we got a lot of people pledging to help us going forward”.
Mokgadi thanked everyone who took part in the event and Baby Kutlwano’s family for allowing them to help.
